Dr. Erin Rush Ortegon is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. With a true passion for helping others, she believes in a team approach to treatment. She values the combination of medical care, pharmacological intervention, psychotherapeutic modalities, holistic options, exercise, and nutrition.

With experience in community mental health and a strong focus on collaborative care, she brings a vibrant energy to her work, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those she serves. She understands that treating an individual often involves, if desired by the patient, inclusion of their family and circle of influence.

Dr. Erin completed her fellowship in Public Psychiatry at Columbia University and received her training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as General Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico, where she served as Chief Resident. She has a strong background in trauma-informed care, quality improvement, and educational leadership.

Dr. Erin is a published researcher and a national presenter, with her work featured in journals such as BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making, the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology, and Academic Psychiatry. She has presented at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and continues to lead educational initiatives focused on pediatric mental health, suicide prevention, and substance use.
