SAMUEL E. GENDLER, M.D.

Dr. Gendler has been in medical practice for more than 20 years and has built one of the most popular practices in Southern California. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to Bogotá, Colombia in 1972 and then to Orange County in 1976 transferring to the University of California-Irvine Medical School. After completing his studies at UC-I in 1978, he was named an Assistant Clinical Professor and later an Associate Clinical Professor in Family Medicine for over 20 years. During that time, Dr. Gendler taught the UC-I students Family Medicine in his growing medical practice. His very popular Family Medicine practice grew to one of the largest in Southern California, for a single doctor, to over 6000 patients.

Several years ago, Dr. Gendler merged his medical practice into the Pathway Medical Group, a prominent and rapidly growing Southern California medical group.

Dr. Gendler has held the following titles:
Associate Clinical Professor in Family Medicine- University of California - Irvine
Chairman- Family Practice Committee- Garden Grove Hospital
Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians
Senior Clinical Investigator for the American Heart Association
Member of the Orange County Medical Association
Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
New York State Licensed Professional Engineer

In November, 2007, Dr. Gendler won first prize in a medical knowledge
contest against several hundred primary care and specialist doctors
sponsored by a major doctors' organization in Southern California.

He is fluent in Spanish and speaks several other languages also. His patients know that they are almost always able to reach Dr. Gendler at any hour or day and that he knows almost all of them by name.
Dr. Gendler was under consideration by the U.S. Government for the position of
Surgeon General of the United States.
